Texas Endangered Species

Some Endangered Species that I know are Bald Eagle and America Black Bear. Endangered means to threaten to extinction. The reason why most of the animals are going to where there are extinction is because people love to hunt and they are killing all the animals. From a website that I got says that there is about 145 Endangered Species in Austin, Texas. Some ways that we can reduce as many Endangered Species is by reducing threats to the wildlife. That means not a lot of people going hunting or they can start fires in the forest because that will take a bears resources away from them because the bears use the forest to find berries so basically we will take a part of there food away from them.

One particular animal that I Want to research is Gray Mexican Wolf. The reason why I wanted to do that is because once they use to roam the vast portion of Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Mexico. The reason being is because that people started to settle in those places and it caused the wolf's to move and then the wolf's started to get hunted and they started to die so some doctors got them. The wolf's also started to get endangered because some of them started to get cancer and start dying. So the doctors started to check for tumors to see if that the tumors had cancer in it. So those are some reasons why that the Mexican Gray Wolf is going endangered so we the people need to stop hunting them.

I'm going to give a list of different species that are going endangered and i'm also going to put how many there are. Out of all of the 145 animals that are being endangered there are 32 mammals and there are 32 Amphibians and Reptiles. There are also 29 plants that are endangered as well. If you hurt or kill an endangered specie you can get fine is $100,00 and you can go to jail for a year for hurting or killing the animal.
